GlobalFoundries is a semiconductor foundry company headquartered in Malta, New York, that manufactures integrated circuits for other companies. It was originally the manufacturing arm of AMD before becoming independent in 2009, and operates fabrication facilities in the United States, Germany, and Singapore.
