Remote Network Administrator responsible for designing, planning, implementing and administering network infrastructure for a medium to large enterprise. Manages network projects, security, monitoring, and day-to-day operational tasks across complex technology environments.
Minimum 3 years experience as Network Administrator in medium to large enterprise
Knowledge of Cisco routing and switching devices
Knowledge of Meraki and Ruckus wireless technologies
Knowledge of Palo Alto firewall appliances
Knowledge of load balancers and Versa SD-WAN
Post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science or equivalent
Valid BC driver's license and own transportation
Ability to participate in on-call after hours support rotation
Design, plan, implement and administer all network infrastructures
Serve as technical troubleshooter on complex networking issues
Maintain network security and access control
Create and maintain documentation of network topology and configurations
Perform or oversee network maintenance duties
Create detailed design documents for network projects
Identify cost optimization, performance enhancement and growth strategies
Research and analyze potential technology solutions to business needs
Automate or streamline manual tasks where possible
Plan, schedule and coordinate networking activities
Lead small to medium network infrastructure lifecycle upgrade projects
Support end users and provide after hours coverage as required
Occasional travel may be required
Evening and occasional weekend work will be required
Must be legally eligible to work for any Canadian employer
