High Voltage Software is seeking an experienced Senior Unreal Programmer to join their growing Engineering team. You'll collaborate with designers and artists to develop gameplay features using UE4/UE5, with a focus on rapid prototyping and robust, maintainable code for AAA games.
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
5-8+ years of experience working with Unreal Engine (both in UE4 and UE5) in the gaming industry
Experience developing games professionally on PC and consoles with shipped titles
Strong C++ and Epic Blueprint skills and the ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and tools
Strong math skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English
Self-motivated, strong work ethic, and able to work independently
Passion for video games
Work closely with art and design to create and iterate on gameplay features
Use rapid prototyping while ensuring that strong architectural and algorithmic decisions are made
Write robust, understandable code and systems that are designed for long term use and maintenance
Improve existing gameplay systems by diagnosing and fixing networking and gameplay issues
Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game's production and development
Position is contingent on project needs
