About this role
Welocalize seeks a French (Canada) sports localization specialist with deep football expertise to review, translate, and adapt football content for Canadian audiences. You'll perform quality control, MTPE, and copy editing while ensuring cultural resonance with local fans.
Must have
BS/BA and/or 2+ years experience in linguistics, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing
Extensive sports knowledge with specialization in football
Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content including MTPE
Native-level fluency in French (Canada)
Excellent grammar and writing skills in native language
Strong creative writing, proofreading, and editing skills
Tech savvy with practical knowledge of computers, mobile devices, word processors, and spreadsheets
Licensed version of MS Office apps required
Ability to work independently and remotely
