About this role

Lead strategic alignment, design, delivery, and evaluation of the Community Wishlist program portfolio at the Wikimedia Foundation. Drive cross-functional programs that turn community feature requests into impactful outcomes across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.

Must have

8+ years experience in community management and community service ownership

8+ years experience managing multi-stakeholder groups with staff, partners, and volunteers

Proven track record delivering complex projects with competing priorities

Strong program management skills including prioritization, planning, and facilitation

Excellent English written and verbal communication with executive presentation experience

Ability to build rapport and influence distributed, culturally diverse teams

Commitment to creating a culture of equity, inclusion, and diversity

Ability to navigate ambiguity and engage with complexity to drive action

Ability to communicate with both deeply technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

Lead planning, coordination, and execution of request intake programs across teams and departments

Track and enable teams to deliver meaningful impact with clear metrics and milestones

Facilitate and improve team practices, workflows, and processes at the wishlist program level

Support community organizations to implement programming that expands reach

Manage budgets and resources for intake activities including external vendors and consultants

Manage teams across functional boundaries both internal and external

Maintain strong documentation and transparent reporting structures for stakeholder visibility

Communicate portfolio vision and direction to various stakeholder audiences

Lead capacity planning exercises and recommend resource allocation or escalation

Partner with Product and Technology leadership to align priorities with strategic objectives

Build and maintain relationships with community members, leaders, and movement organizations

Develop shared understanding of program goals and ensure stakeholder alignment on commitments

Design program evaluation plans and develop qualitative and quantitative project metrics

Evaluate success against metrics and milestones with clear communication in reporting

Prepare reports and presentations on program outcomes and progress toward strategic goals
