About this role
Build and maintain automated test frameworks across the software testing lifecycle. Collaborate with stakeholders to validate requirements, execute integration and system tests, and implement CI/CD pipelines for quality assurance at J.D. Power.
Must have
Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Engineering
3+ years developing automated tests with Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, REST Assured, Java, or JUnit
3+ years integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Experience writing basic SQL queries with joins
Experience with Apache HTTP Server or NGINX
Experience with Git or Perforce version control
Experience testing RESTful and SOAP web services with Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools
Experience with Maven, Ant, or Gradle build tools
Experience with Jenkins or TeamCity continuous integration tools
Knowledge of all phases in the Software Testing Lifecycle
Experience designing and executing unit, integration, system, and acceptance test suites
Experience with Java programming and TypeScript for Playwright
Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and design principles
Familiarity with relational and non-relational database design
Familiarity with AI/LLM-based tools for test planning and automation

Develop technical understanding of client needs and project requirements
Review and provide feedback on Software Requirements Specifications with Solution Analysts
Contribute to Software Test Plans defining scope, objective, and approach
Collaborate with stakeholders to create detailed work package estimates
Develop and execute integration, system, and acceptance automated tests
Create and review defect, progress, and summary testing reports
Investigate and triage software defects for assigned projects
Define and implement best practices across the Software Testing Lifecycle
