About this role
Build production AI systems, data pipelines, and marketing infrastructure at Samsara's Marketing Data & Analytics team. Architect LLM-powered agents, CDP systems, and conversational analytics while mentoring engineers and owning end-to-end solutions.
Must have
5+ years of data engineering or AI engineering experience with hands-on data work
Expert Python and SQL knowledge with strong data modeling skills
Built and shipped production LLM or agent systems as part of your job
Regularly use agentic coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor in your workflow
Deep experience with data warehouse architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines
Proven ability to independently gather requirements and bridge business and technical needs
Strong communication and project management skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Design, build, and operate production AI systems including agent orchestration and retrieval pipelines
Architect and maintain marketing databases, datasets, pipelines, and the Customer Data Platform
Partner with BI team to expand conversational analytics across marketing
Identify and automate manual workflows with AI from concept to production path
Stand up new data pipelines end to end for newly onboarded tools
Own reliability and data quality of everything you build
Autonomously partner with stakeholders to translate ambiguous questions into scalable solutions
Ship high-quality Python and SQL while directing agentic coding tools and reviewing AI-generated work
Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and define team best practices
