About this role
Design conversational and agentic interaction patterns for Autodesk Assistant, shaping how millions of professionals interact with AI across Autodesk's Design and Make platform. Define dialogue flows, voice/tone, error recovery, and system-prompt architecture for trustworthy AI experiences.
Must have
4+ years of experience in conversation design, UX design, or related field
Portfolio showing shipped conversational work with password protection
Solid grounding in human-centered design and conversation design
Experience designing generative AI experiences and prototyping edge cases
Hands-on comfort with prompt design and system-prompt architecture
Working understanding of large language models capabilities and limits
Fluency in Figma and ability to use adjacent prototyping tools
Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience

Design conversational and agentic interaction patterns for Autodesk Assistant
Create dialogue flows, conversation architecture, and turn-level behavior
Shape Assistant's voice, tone, persona, and system-prompt behavior
Design error, repair, and fallback flows for uncertain or wrong model outputs
Partner with product, engineering, AI research, and experience design teams
Contribute to Autodesk Assistant pattern library with reusable shared patterns
Define and track quality signals for conversation success and user trust
Recruitment process
Light travel required 2-3 times per year in North America
Resume and portfolio with password required for consideration
Join platform team responsible for patterns adopted by all Autodesk product teams
High trust bar for AI requires careful stewardship of interaction patterns
Bilingual posting with French version included
