About this role

Build and own critical financial data infrastructure at Instacart, powering accounting, billing, revenue reporting, and SOX-compliant data pipelines. Lead design and execution of scalable data models and ELT pipelines serving millions of customers and major retailers across North America.

Must have

Eight plus years in data or software engineering with financial data pipeline focus

Strong knowledge of cloud data warehouses like Snowflake Redshift or BigQuery

Strong knowledge of Python Airflow Spark Iceberg and Delta Lake in production

Expert in data modeling for complex financial data with scalability and usability

Expert with SQL and dbt Data Build Tool

Experience building high quality complex ETL and ELT pipelines for accounting and billing

Experience with data immutability auditability and slowly changing dimensions

Adept at communicating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive requirements

Ability to balance urgency with shipping high quality pragmatic solutions

Experience working with large codebase on cross functional team
