Senior QA Engineer at Prenuvo ensuring quality of healthcare tools for providers, patient workflows, and diagnostic reporting. Fully remote role with preference for PST timezone candidates. Focus on web application testing, API testing, automation, and mentoring junior QA engineers in a healthcare/AI environment.
4+ years of professional experience in software QA
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience with test design techniques and practical implementation
Strong knowledge of web technologies: HTML, CSS, client-server architecture, and APIs
Experience testing RESTful and GraphQL APIs
Awareness of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience testing with tools like Axe, Lighthouse, or screen readers
Experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Espresso, XCUITest)
Solid experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA)
Strong analytical and communication skills, with proven problem-solving abilities
A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality, user-centered products
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers to shape quality from the ground up
Analyze and evaluate business requirements with product managers and translate them into test strategies
Create, execute, and maintain test documentation and test plans
Create and execute manual and automated testing of web applications: exploratory, functional, acceptance, regression, and UI testing
Test APIs and backend services (REST, GraphQL) for robustness and correctness
Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, prioritized, and tracked
Lead root cause analysis with developers to accelerate defect resolution
Mentor junior QA engineers and help instill best practices across the team
Be an active voice in process improvements to raise product quality and engineering performance
Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality
Ensure web applications meet accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA) through manual and automated testing
Contribute to performance and security testing efforts where applicable
This role is fully remote; however, we have a preference for candidates based in the Pacific Time Zone (PST) to better align with team collaboration
