About this role
Northbeam seeks a senior backend-leaning engineer to build scalable systems for their marketing intelligence platform. You'll work 70% backend/distributed systems and 20-30% frontend, owning features across the stack from experimentation platforms to AI-powered workflows.
Must have
5+ years designing and building distributed backend systems in Python
Multiple years of professional experience building system architecture
Experience working closely with product managers, designers, and data scientists
Previous startup experience or experience requiring breadth and strong problem-solving
Demonstrated experience turning ambiguous product needs into production-ready solutions
Ability to navigate complex datasets and interconnected tables to investigate issues
Working frontend experience with React and TypeScript
Strong coding fundamentals with AI used as an accelerator not a substitute
