About this role
Northbeam is seeking a senior-level software engineer who leans backend to build scalable systems for their marketing intelligence platform. You'll spend 70% on backend and distributed systems, 20-30% on frontend, owning features across the stack. Work includes scaling an experimentation platform, near real-time data infrastructure, and AI-powered workflows for eCommerce brands.
Must have
5+ years designing and building distributed backend systems in Python
Multiple years of professional system architecture experience
Experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and data scientists
Previous startup or breadth-requiring engineering environment experience
Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous product needs into production solutions
Ability to navigate complex datasets and interconnected tables
Working frontend experience with React and TypeScript
Strong coding fundamentals with independent problem-solving ability
