Senior Transportation Project Engineer
About this role
Lead transportation infrastructure projects across study, planning, design and construction phases. Work on complete streets, highways, rapid transit and cycling facilities for municipal, provincial and federal clients in Ontario.
Must have
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required
10+ years of relevant work experience
Professional registration as an Engineer in Ontario is required
Experience managing transportation infrastructure projects with MTO and Ontario municipalities
Broad general technical and business background
Responsibilities
Lead management of planning and design projects or portions of projects
Prepare project planning and design schedules and budgets
Carry out studies of existing infrastructure or site conditions
Lead completion of transportation plans and studies
Identify and evaluate alternative planning and engineering solutions
Recommend preferred plans and designs with technical rationales
Lead preparation of functional, preliminary and detailed designs and cost estimates
Manage construction implementation projects and provide contract administration
Provide engineering services during construction
Manage or coordinate work of other disciplines and firms
Liaise with clients and stakeholders on design processes
Monitor financial performance of assignments
