About this role
Lead full-stack development of employee management features for Toast's restaurant platform. Design and deliver scalable solutions that help restaurant operators measure performance, incentivize staff, and grow their teams. Mentor engineers while championing quality and best practices across the development lifecycle.
Must have
Strong foundation in Java, Kotlin or other object oriented languages
Expertise in utilizing AI tools throughout the development lifecycle
Exposure to building AI solutions for customers
Experience with modern web standards and technologies including React and TypeScript
Proven track record of building partnerships across engineering product and customer success
Experience and interest in mentoring peers
Experience maintaining a high bar for quality and guiding teams to hold high technical standards
Strong customer empathy and drive to improve lives through thoughtful user experience

Participate in designing estimating implementing testing and debugging end-to-end solutions
Mentor developers through code-pairing and detailed code architecture and project reviews
Champion best practices for development deployment and quality life cycles
Actively contribute to product design and feature selection discussions
