About this role
Lead a 3-engineer squad building the developer surface for Xsolla's Shop Builder platform: MCP server, CLI, SDK, documentation pipeline, and AI features. Hands-on role bridging architecture and execution, with cross-team coordination and production coding.
Must have
6+ years professional software engineering experience
At least 2 years in tech lead, staff, or senior lead role
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js
Experience shipping production APIs, CLIs, or SDKs to external developers
Hands-on experience building CLI tools and developer-facing workflows
Solid understanding of REST API design and SDK ergonomics
Practical familiarity with MCP or agentic tool-use patterns
Experience coordinating across multiple engineering teams
Proven ability to lead engineers and raise quality bar through reviews
Cloud-native experience with CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS or GCP

Drive delivery of Shop Builder developer surface including MCP server, CLI, SDK, and documentation pipeline
Lead and mentor a team of three engineers with code reviews and technical direction
Own cross-team coordination for inbound API capabilities from payments, auth, live ops, and catalog
Actively contribute production code on critical and complex components
Partner with Principal Engineer to translate architecture into sprint-level execution
Collaborate with PO on roadmap sequencing and scope trade-offs
Own team's delivery rhythm including sprint planning and retrospectives
Define engineering standards for testing, observability, deployment, and documentation
Act as primary technical contact for headless partner integrations
Contribute to hiring through technical interviews
