About this role
Lead Cloudflare's Security Platform team building secure, resilient distributed systems for secrets management, PKI, and machine/workload identity across a global network spanning 310+ cities. This infrastructure engineering role combines people management with hands-on technical leadership in security-critical systems.
Must have
Team leadership and management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Software development and distributed systems design expertise
Strong security background with focus on implementation
Flexibility to be on-call outside standard working hours

Responsibilities
Lead team building secure distributed systems for secrets and key management
Strengthen and re-architect internal PKI and machine/workload identity systems
Run and support operational systems and help internal developers use them
Organize and plan team's long-term roadmap and day-to-day work
Review and sign off on technical designs, project plans, and code
Participate in design and implementation, personally leading projects as needed
Support team growth and career development, delegating tasks appropriately
Handle people management responsibilities including performance and compensation
