About this role

Affirm is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Acquisition & Onboarding team, building the first customer experience across mobile, web, and backend systems. This high-impact role involves setting technical direction, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers while directly impacting conversion and business growth.

Must have

4+ years of experience as a software engineer

Experience leading significant mobile initiatives with React Native or native development

Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript

Experience shipping web apps with React or Vue

Experience designing and launching backend systems at scale with Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes

Experience working across React Native and native boundaries with Swift and Kotlin

Experience with experimentation, feature flagging, and analytics instrumentation in mobile apps

Strong verbal and written communication skills for global team collaboration

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent practical experience

Responsibilities

Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team while leading engineers through ambiguity

Proactively identify and lead solutions for project, process, technology, or business issues

Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts and support on-call efforts

Mentor and develop talent on your team through feedback and guidance
