About this role
Lead cost visibility and optimization across Affirm's cloud and AI infrastructure. Design tooling, automation, and processes that scale cost governance across multi-cloud and multi-AI-vendor environments. Set technical direction for a small, high-leverage team at the intersection of finance, infrastructure, and data engineering.
Must have
8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale
Extensive track record with highly available distributed systems
Experience with FinOps or cost-visibility platform building
Track record building automation that turns manual cost-review into self-service systems
Hands-on experience with cloud billing data at scale and complex SQL
Experience delivering major features or deprecating functionality through technical plans
Strong verbal and written communication skills for global collaboration
