About this role
Build full-stack components powering AI agent pilots and prototypes at J.D. Power's Innovation Crew. Work with frontier model APIs, agentic frameworks, and core data infrastructure to ship production-ready AI systems.
Must have
Full-stack engineering fundamentals across backend and frontend development
Demonstrable curiosity about AI systems with hands-on LLM API experience
Understanding of RAG and tool-calling patterns in practice
Clean, well-documented code with fast-learning orientation
Python and/or TypeScript proficiency
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent agent frameworks
Familiarity with Snowflake, BigQuery, or equivalent cloud data platform
Knowledge of RAG patterns and vector databases
Observability basics including traces, logs, and instrumentation tools

Responsibilities
Build full-stack features and components for Innovation Crew pilots and prototypes
Develop backend services, REST APIs, data pipeline connectors, and frontend implementations
Integrate builds with JD Power's core data infrastructure including Snowflake and cloud platforms
Contribute to Power Agents library development implementing new agent patterns
Write tests, instrument traces, and document behavior for auditable reusable modules
Build tool integrations, evaluation harnesses, and observability instrumentation for AI agents
Consume and configure frontier model APIs and agentic frameworks like LangGraph and CrewAI
Collaborate with AI Experience Engineer to implement frontend components and connect UI to backend
Support technical scoping by mapping integration dependencies and spiking on unknowns
Participate in Emerging Technology evaluations by building PoC implementations
