About this role

Lead a development team building and maintaining frontend infrastructure for Studio Designer's all-in-one platform serving interior design firms. Report to the CTO and drive technical direction, team growth, and customer-focused solutions.

Must have

10+ years experience in software development or SRE of fault-tolerant distributed systems

Experience operating SaaS software systems in production

Experience with AWS or other major cloud providers

Experience developing platforms and services like microservices and APIs

Experience architecting and building frontend components and applications

Strong experience with JSON, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, WinForms, and Web Services

UI testing frameworks such as Playwright, NUnit, or MS Test

Extensive hands-on development experience with Angular and TypeScript

Technical knowledge and depth to develop and mentor others

Experience interacting with customers, senior executives, and business leads

Experience establishing and measuring OKRs or team goals

Responsibilities

Lead, expand, and mature a small team of developers

Develop strategic direction for architecture, frontend development, and team culture with the CTO

Cultivate a culture of security, incident analysis, and learning

Identify and execute opportunities to support development teams with availability and performance

Lead development and execution of a frontend roadmap for intuitive customer experiences

Partner with Product to translate customer needs into scalable frontend solutions

Collaborate with Development leaders and Product Managers on prioritization

Reduce frontend technical debt and improve scalability and maintainability

Coach and mentor developers to propagate reliability best practices
