About this role
Clariti's first Forward Deployed Engineer will define the role and playbook for engineering-led, tooling-driven government software implementations. You'll own technical customer onboarding end-to-end, from legacy data migration to production cutover, while building reusable tooling and feeding product improvements back to the engineering team.
Must have
5+ years as a software engineer with 2+ in customer-facing deployment role
Strong understanding of LLMs and agentic automations
Strong SQL and data-migration instincts with legacy schema experience
Strong TypeScript skills and comfortable with Python for tooling
Integration depth with SSO, REST, webhooks, ideally GIS and payments
Comfort presenting to non-technical government customers
Judgment about bespoke versus repeatable solutions
Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed

Triage requirements into configurations, new functionality, or custom code
Work with SaaS platform team to define new functionalities for go-live
Own technical customer onboarding end to end from extraction to cutover
Translate jurisdiction operations into product configuration
Write migration transformations and integration adapters
Run point on customer-side technical stakeholders and security reviews
Provide feedback to convert manual workarounds into product specs
Build the FDE playbook for rapid future hiring
Use AI coding agents as first-class part of implementation work
