About this role

Mid-level Frontend Engineer for Just Eat Takeaway.com's Logistics Areas and Fees team. Build scalable React/TypeScript web applications powering delivery areas and fees systems. Own frontend systems end-to-end with focus on performance, accessibility, and modern engineering practices including AI-assisted development.

Must have

5+ years of experience building production frontend applications at scale

Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript

Deep understanding of modern CSS and responsive design principles

Experience with frontend testing frameworks like Jest and React Testing Library

Strong knowledge of Web APIs, browser internals, and performance optimization

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern build tools like Vite and Webpack

Production experience deploying to AWS and/or Azure with Kubernetes

Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools is required

Experience making repositories agent-ready for AI coding agents

Experience using AI agents for end-to-end engineering tasks

Understanding of prompt engineering and evaluation of AI-generated outputs

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate scalable frontend applications using React and TypeScript

Develop and maintain reusable, responsive UI components

Optimize application performance for smooth, low-latency user experiences

Manage complex application state and data fetching patterns efficiently

Integrate frontend applications with REST and GraphQL APIs

Own frontend reliability with monitoring tools and incident response

Drive engineering excellence in CI/CD, automated testing, and code review

Collaborate with Product, Mobile, QE, and Data teams to ship high quality releases

Participate in architectural decisions and technical design reviews

Investigate and resolve production issues using distributed tracing and log analysis

Participate in Agile software development within a cross functional team

Support and mentor team members to grow frontend engineering as a discipline
