Information Security Engineer (Cloud Security Engineer) - 1 Year Contract
About this role
Implement and operate Numeris' Microsoft security ecosystem with focus on M365 E5 security solutions. Combine hands-on security engineering, automation, and day-to-day security operations including incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management across Azure and AWS environments.
Must have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in security engineering, cloud security, or security operations
Demonstrated experience implementing Microsoft 365 E5 security technologies in enterprise environment
Experience supporting security operations including incident response and threat detection
Experience supporting security controls and monitoring within AWS environments
Familiarity with AWS security services such as IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and AWS Config
Experience implementing or administering Cloud Security Posture Management solutions

Responsibilities
Design and maintain Microsoft Entra ID security controls including Conditional Access and identity governance
Configure and maintain Microsoft Intune security baselines and compliance policies
Implement and optimize Microsoft Defender security solutions across the ecosystem
Configure Microsoft Purview DLP, information protection, and compliance controls
Design and maintain Microsoft Sentinel detections, KQL queries, and analytics rules
Build automated response playbooks and SOAR workflows
Participate in alert triage, investigation, containment, and remediation activities
Administer vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation efforts
Participate in rotating on-call schedule for security incidents
Lead implementation and optimization of security technologies
Review vendor architectures and identify security risks
Administer KnowBe4 platform for security awareness training
Support CSPM capabilities across Microsoft Azure and AWS environments
