About this role
Architect and lead the agent-readable Shop Builder platform at Xsolla, defining APIs, SDKs, and AI interfaces for game commerce storefronts. This senior IC role shapes how developers and AI agents build on Xsolla's global payments platform.
Must have
10+ years professional engineering experience with Staff or Principal engineer track record shaping platforms or APIs
Deep expertise designing and shipping public APIs and SDKs with versioning and backwards compatibility
Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React
Hands-on experience building CLI tooling and local developer workflows
Solid understanding of Model Context Protocol or equivalent agentic tool-use interfaces
Experience building systems at global scale on cloud infrastructure with containerization and CI/CD
Ability to write LLM-friendly documentation and API surfaces with schema clarity
Exceptional technical communication with clear RFCs and architecture reviews

Responsibilities
Own technical architecture of agent-readable Shop Builder platform across REST, SDK, MCP, and CLI surfaces
Define interface contracts for LLMs and developers including React component APIs and custom block schemas
Design and lead delivery of MCP server enabling AI agents to build and deploy storefronts end-to-end
Architect CLI and local development environment for project scaffolding and production deployment
Define deploy, versioning, and rollback model for developer-published content
Design sandbox and preview environment system for safe iteration without touching live partner sites
Set documentation standard for LLMs and humans from single canonical sources
Lead eval harness architecture measuring correctness of LLM-generated blocks and themes
Collaborate with Principal/Staff Engineers across payments, auth, live ops, and catalog
Serve as technical bar-raiser defining code standards and mentoring Tech Lead and engineers
Contribute to hiring and define technical culture of the team from day one
