About this role

Build foundational AI systems and tooling for shipbuilding software solutions at SSI, a global marine software company. Work at the intersection of software engineering and applied AI to operationalize intelligent features across ship design and production systems.

Must have

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline

Solid experience in software development with focus on backend or systems engineering

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or C++

Experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems

Experience with AI/ML infrastructure or MLOps tooling

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software per SSI coding standards and guidelines

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects, performance issues, and security concerns

Complete assigned tasks within agreed timelines and budgets, escalating risks promptly

Document technical issues, resolutions, and development decisions for future reference

Research, evaluate, and recommend tools, technologies, and process improvements

Contribute to creation, maintenance, and enforcement of development standards and best practices

Demonstrate leadership through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and effective team participation

Plan, prioritize, and execute work efficiently with minimal supervision
