About this role

Build and maintain features for a restaurant tablet app used daily in live restaurants across Canada. Work on Android-first React Native development with real-time data, OTA updates, and production stability in a distributed team.

Must have

Proven commercial experience building React Native apps shipped to production

Experience configuring releases with Fastlane, App Store, TestFlight, Google Play, and Firebase App Distribution

Strong TypeScript skills including strict mode, generics, and typed Redux

Solid understanding of React ecosystem including hooks, state management, and performance optimization

Hands-on experience with Redux Toolkit including createSlice and createAsyncThunk

Experience integrating REST APIs with Axios and handling asynchronous operations

Experience working with real-time data via WebSockets and/or Pusher

Strong debugging skills across JavaScript and native logs with Sentry experience

Experience writing automated tests with Jest and React Native Testing Library

Proficiency with Git and healthy code-review culture

Responsibilities

Build and maintain features for the mobile application using React Native and TypeScript

Design and implement reusable components and business logic per architecture standards

Integrate with REST APIs and handle real-time data via WebSockets and Pusher

Write and maintain unit and component tests using Jest and React Native Testing Library

Diagnose and resolve defects including analyzing errors and crashes in Sentry

Participate in code reviews and help maintain a clean consistent codebase

Contribute to release cycle including shipping OTA updates via CodePush

Collaborate with engineering QA and product partners in async-friendly distributed setting
