Lead Narvar's Promise team of frontend, backend, and data science engineers building AI/ML-powered delivery prediction systems. Drive technical direction, quality, and team growth in a fully remote role serving major retail brands.
Must have
8+ years of core engineering experience with time as staff engineer
3+ years as engineering manager in high growth startups
Deep backend and/or data science background with full stack and ML team leadership
Hands on experience building with AI tools and agentic workflows
Experience with major cloud platform, GCP preferred
Consumer facing product experience where conversion matters
Track record managing Staff+ engineers and growing talent

Drive Promise roadmap and delivery end-to-end across Product, Sales, and Support
Set technical direction, review PRs, and drive AI native engineering practices
Run short hypothesis-driven cycles and hold quality bar for customer trust
Hire strong engineers, set OKRs tied to product goals, and manage performance
Track AI and engineering trends and bring best practices into team workflows
