About this role

Design and build mission-critical real-time detection and event processing systems at massive scale for Arctic Wolf's cybersecurity platform. Work on distributed stream processing, event correlation, and pipeline orchestration handling trillions of events daily in a cloud-native environment.

Must have

5-10+ years of professional software development experience

Proven experience designing and operating complex distributed systems at scale

Strong background in real-time data processing architectures and high-throughput systems

Strong programming skills in Golang, Python, or Java

Experience building and deploying services in AWS, Azure, or GCP

Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes

Comfortable working within microservices architectures and CI/CD environments

Experience with Kafka, Flink, Spark, Redpanda, RabbitMQ, SQS, or similar platforms is an asset

Exposure to cybersecurity, observability, telemetry, or data-intensive platforms preferred

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance core components of the real-time detection and event processing platform

Build and evolve large-scale distributed systems processing trillions of events per day in near real-time

Develop capabilities across event processing systems, detection frameworks, and stream-processing infrastructure

Solve complex engineering challenges related to scalability, reliability, performance, latency, and cost efficiency

Contribute to architecture and technical direction of next-generation platform capabilities

Deliver high-quality, production-ready software and operate systems at massive scale

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform effectiveness and operational excellence

Mentor and support other developers while fostering ownership, quality, and continuous improvement
