Rust or Go production-quality systems code
Kubernetes deploying and operating workloads in EKS or similar
Distributed systems fundamentals concurrency failure modes consistency trade-offs
Comfort with low-level networking concepts TCP/IP proxies packet flow
Strong debugging skills in complex multi-component environments
Ability to read and reason about open source systems code
Located in BC Canada able to travel to Vancouver with 3 days notice
Resume and LinkedIn profile mandatory for application
Own the Envoy stack and WASM filter development for deep packet inspection
Manage EKS deployment Helm charts GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
Build observability with Prometheus metrics Grafana dashboards and alerting
Implement Redis sidecar integration for low-latency classification cache
Ensure reliable durable audit log stream for every inspected event
Contribute to ADR authorship as data plane evolves
Report to Principal Backend Engineer in small senior team
