About this role

Full-stack Software Engineer on a 12-month contract to design and develop products powering genomics and precision health breakthroughs. Build robust, secure, scalable systems across multiple cloud environments and define standards for the future of genomics.

Must have

4+ years of professional software development experience

Demonstrable understanding of systems, algorithms, and software design

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field

Self-starter attitude and willingness to learn new technologies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Eligible to work in Canada

Responsibilities

Share leadership in design and development of key systems

Architect services using well-accepted design patterns for scaling

Proactively identify architectural and code weaknesses

Prototype, develop, test, and deploy applications

Collaborate with customers, partners, and peers on product requirements

Perform functional and code reviews

Research and select appropriate tools emphasizing efficiency and security

Create system design and application documentation

Guide junior members towards strategic goals and technical excellence

Develop and maintain notebook environments for bioinformatics analysis

Build reusable workflow templates for spatial and single-cell integration

Support federated data access across multi-tenant cloud environments
