About this role
Set the technical vision and strategy for PointClickCare's machine learning platform powering ML and generative AI development. Define reference architectures, standards, and roadmap for pipelines, tooling, and infrastructure used across model training, deployment, serving, and monitoring while providing technical leadership company-wide.
Must have
Expert level in Python and Java with strong software engineering fundamentals
Deep experience designing and building ML platforms and MLOps workflows at scale
Familiarity with MLFlow, Kubeflow, Ray, and model-serving frameworks
Extensive experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
Demonstrated track record of setting technical direction across multiple teams

Responsibilities
Translate business and product objectives into multi-quarter technical strategy and roadmap for the ML platform
Define reference architectures and standards for scalable data and ML pipelines
Set direction and best practices for MLOps including CI/CD for models and feature stores
Drive build-vs-buy decisions for core platform components
Establish practices for reliability, observability, and performance of ML systems in production
Establish security architecture for the ML platform including authentication and access control
Define secure, cost-efficient integration and infrastructure patterns at scale
Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams
Recruitment process
Serve as product owner for machine learning platform capabilities within PointClickCare
Work closely with engineering teams across the organization
Support traditional ML and hybrid ML/LLM solutions
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align technical direction with business goals
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field preferred
Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning components and Databricks processing preferred
Experience optimizing large model training and inference including LLM serving preferred
