Mercor seeks an Applied Philosophy Benchmark Specialist to author original philosophy questions testing deep conceptual understanding for AI research labs. Contract role requiring 10+ hours/week, PhD or doctoral candidate preferred.
Must have
PhD or doctoral candidate in Philosophy or closely related field required
Master's degree considered with exceptional subdomain depth
Strong command of philosophical argumentation, formal logic, and canonical texts
Excellent written English with ability to express complex ideas clearly

Author original philosophy questions testing deep conceptual understanding
Ensure questions are unambiguous, self-contained, and precisely defined
Rate question difficulty across Medium, Hard, and Expert levels
Provide one correct answer and nine plausible incorrect alternatives per question
Write step-by-step Chain-of-Thought solutions in markdown format
Supply one to five academic references from peer-reviewed sources per question
Flag clarity, completeness, precision, or solvability issues during verification tasks
