Professional Engineer
About this role
TRUE Consulting seeks a Professional Civil Engineer for remote work based in Smithers, BC, supporting municipal, First Nation, and land development projects across the region. You'll design water, sewer, stormwater, road, and transportation systems while building lasting client relationships in a people-first culture.
Must have
5 plus years of relevant professional experience
Registered with EGBC as a Professional Engineer
Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
Valid Class 5 B.C. Drivers Licence
Computer competency with Civil 3D, WaterCAD, PCSWMM, or GIS
Strong understanding of water system hydraulics and road design
Technologies
Responsibilities
Develop and oversee detailed design of municipal, First Nation and land development projects
Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and documentation
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
Collaborate with project teams of engineers, EITs, technologists, and professionals
Travel within region for client relationships, field inspection and construction inspections
Prepare contract documents, specifications, cost estimates, and administer tenders and contracts
