About this role

Shape your function's AI strategy and build solutions that transform how Product & Design operates at GitLab. You'll manage the full lifecycle from identifying where AI can fundamentally change workflows, to prototyping agents with no-code/low-code tools, to driving adoption across the organization. Partner with an AI Engineer to deliver measurable business outcomes while building a champion network to scale impact.

Must have

Deep knowledge of Product & Design function operations and workflows

Strategic prioritization skills with business outcome focus

Product management mindset with intake, backlog, and iteration experience

Strong communication and influence across cross-functional teams

Experience building peer networks or communities of practice

Comfortable building AI agents with no-code and low-code platforms

Ability to configure MCP servers and troubleshoot agent issues

Strong conceptual understanding of AI capabilities and agentic workflows

Ability to map structured and unstructured data flows

Responsibilities

Own Product & Design function's AI strategy aligned with Executive Sponsor

Map end-to-end work flows and identify 100x AI opportunity areas

Manage intake of AI requests and prioritize against business outcomes

Drive adoption and change management for AI initiatives

Build and coordinate a Champion network across sub-teams

Build AI agents using no-code and low-code platforms

Author and iterate skills files defining agent behavior

Configure MCP servers and tools for agent system access

Own function's fleet of agents and track their performance KPIs

Partner with AI Engineer on technical delivery and architecture decisions
