About this role

Makeship is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own end-to-end UX across their crowdfunding platform for creators and fans. You'll shape design systems, lead user research, and drive product direction in a fast-growing, profitable startup ranked among Canada's top growing companies.

Must have

5+ years of product design experience with portfolio of end-to-end design ownership

Experience with user research techniques including journey mapping and usability testing

Proven experience building and evolving a design system

Exceptional collaboration and communication skills

Systems-thinking mindset with broad UX ownership experience

Ability to thrive with high autonomy in fast-moving environment

Responsibilities

Tackle multi-faceted user problems using diverse UX toolkit to converge on solutions

Design polished interfaces with strong rationale for layout hierarchy typography and motion

Build maintain and scale design system as platform and team grow

Leverage research frameworks to understand creators and fans and apply insights

Lead user testing to validate assumptions and drive ongoing usability tracking

Partner with engineering product and marketing across full product development cycle

Advance design practice and champion design thinking across organization

Mentor and lead training for team members as design practice grows
