About this role
Instrumentl is hiring a Senior Product Designer to own Manage, their post-award product area where $1.1B+ in grant funding is tracked and kept compliant. You'll lead end-to-end design for complex, multi-stakeholder workflows involving financial data visualization, AI-powered features, and greenfield product invention in a profitable, YC-backed SaaS company serving 5,500+ nonprofits.
Must have
7+ years of product design experience with at least 2 years at senior level
Proven track record owning complex B2B or enterprise product areas end-to-end
Deep expertise designing data-heavy UIs including financial dashboards and reporting views
Strong Figma skills across user flows wireframes hi-fi mockups prototypes and design systems
Experience working closely with engineers in a fast-shipping startup environment
Active use of AI tools in your design workflow

Lead end-to-end design for the Manage product area from discovery through shipping and iteration
Shape how financial data is visualized for non-accountants including budget vs actuals and burn rates
Design complex multi-stakeholder workflows for cross-team collaboration across grant and finance teams
Drive definition of greenfield spaces where post-award infrastructure is still being invented
Envision and design AI-powered features that free up grant professionals time and increase compliance
Bring systems thinking to data-dense multi-entity problems to cut through complexity
Use AI tools actively in your design practice for prototyping iteration and product development
Raise the quality bar across Instrumentls design system
Push back when something isnt right for users and drive alignment across engineering product and GTM
Conduct and synthesize user research independently to surface insights and patterns
