Staff Technical Program Manager
About this role
Affirm seeks a Staff Technical Program Manager to oversee high-visibility technical programs and scale program management practices for their expanding consumer finance products. You'll drive complex multi-disciplinary programs across engineering and product teams in a remote-first environment.
Must have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
8 years of proven experience managing technical programs
Track record of driving complex large technology applications and distributed backend systems
Track record of strong stakeholder management with Engineering, Product, Design, and Analytics teams
Prior experience in FinTech, Payments or Commerce is a plus
Responsibilities
Drive complex, multi-disciplinary, highly visible technical programs for expanding consumer product suite
Coordinate across engineering and non-engineering stakeholders through full program lifecycle
Understand technical implementation at architecture level and propose technical alternatives
Partner with Product and Engineering to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage schedules
Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks, and communicate status to upper management
Actively mentor and level up team members
